The Show & Schedule

For this years Copenhagen Games we are expanding our stage presence by a day, and adding a few more activities for cosplayers at Copenhagen Games!

Thursday

Cosplay Talkshow & Theatrical Workshop

Time: 18:00 - 19:00
Place: Small Stage

Cosplay Talkshow 18:00 - 19:00

Last year we hosted a good panel about what cosplay was, with our judges, and this year we will be doing the same as we explain to the crowd what cosplay is for us! Join the talk show and ask questions, or just listen as the judges explain the rise of cosplay at eSports events around the world.

Theatrical Workshop with Josef W. Nielsen 19:30

This is a special one day course for those that want to give their cosplay a body and a soul. The difference between doing a catwalk and role playing is part of the expression. Normally the model is expressionless and can be seen as slightly invisible in order to better portray the costume. In this course you will have the chance to play with the mask of the character and the freedom to add a extra dimension that will help define the cosplay. Let your inner passion loose for cosplay on stage and make sure the judges remember your performance better. By exploiting your own passion we create a commonality and uniqueness that comes alive. If this sounds like something you want to attend, then join immediately and we will only have a set amount of spots for those that want to attend.

The Workshop will be held by Josef W. Nielsen whom is a educated actor from the National Theaterschool in 2005. He has since worked in the Aalborg theater, Østre Gasværk, Jomfru Ane Theater, Theater Zebu, and Theater Solaris. Josefs carrier has been that of a character actor, without going to much into detail it means that he as an actor plays many different types of roles and character types in contrast to being that which is called a method actor which plays himself in different circumstances. Josef loves to improvise in cooperation with his audience and explores the space between the mask of the character and the reciever where real change occurs. Josef is currently the daily leader of Theater Solaris and is currently moved to Hvalsø in Denmark to better be a part of the day to day operations. Josef is 43 years old and has a 8 year old son and is also apart from being an actor trained as a carrier coach, and a communications expert!
